Amelie Coelho is a sophomore from Chapel Hill, NC studying Biomedical Engineering. She joined BOW during Spring 2023. She is excited to join BOW's Exec Board this year as VP of External Initiatives. This past summer, Amelie completed courses in both mathematics and physics and also studied abroad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil pursuing fluency in Portuguese. Outside of BOW Amelie is involved in Duke's SHAPE (Sexual Harassment Assault Prevention and Education) organization, the Duke Gap Year Mentorship Program, and the Duke Athletics Department as a student film assistant for Duke Field Hockey. In her free time, Amelie loves to hike, read fiction, and play the daily New York Times puzzles.
