KEYNOTE

David Taylor is P&G’s Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer. David is a proven leader with 40 years of experience across many of P&G’s core categories and markets. He and P&G’s leadership team are driving the transformation of P&G to return the company to sustainable, balanced growth and value creation. Prior to becoming CEO, he was group president of P&G’s Global Beauty, Grooming and Health Care sectors with a portfolio of leading brands such as Crest, Oral-B, Head & Shoulders, Olay, Pantene, SK-II, Gillette, Fusion, Mach 3 and Vicks. David also led P&G’s Family Care and Home Care businesses, both of which delivered consistent profit and sales growth under his leadership. In the early 1990s, David transferred to P&G brand management, where he helped build many of the company’s core businesses including Baby Care, Family Care, Hair Care and Home Care. He has led global businesses, living and working in North America, Europe and Asia. In addition, David serves on the Board of Directors of Delta Air Lines, and he serves as the Chairman of The Alliance to End Plastic Waste. He also serves on the boards of the U.S.-China Business Council, the Consumer Goods Forum, and Catalyst. He is a member of the Business Roundtable, and a member of the Board of Visitors at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Veronica ‘Roni’ Chase is a vice president at Eli Lilly and Company, where she leads the marketing function for the Oncology business unit globally. She has over 20 years of marketing experience primarily in the healthcare industry working across customer groups, and has been a leading player of multiple successful brand launches throughout her career. Roni completed her Bachelors in Economics at Indiana University, and has a Master of Business Administration from the Duke Fuqua School of Business. She is highly specialized in building integrated customer brand strategies, innovative multi-channel engagement marketing, consumer marketing, and sales.

Ana Hawkins has an economics undergraduate degree from Duke University and an MBA from The Carlson School of Management, University of MN. She has worked both in external consulting with Accenture – focusing on financial services and insurance markets - and in strategy & marketing with 3M over the past 10 years. She has experience in both industrial and healthcare markets at 3M – ranging from roles as a new product marketer, strategic planner, global portfolio marketer, and currently as a segment marketer in healthcare.  She is passionate about innovation and is currently an adjunct professor at St Kate’s in St Paul, MN teaching a strategic innovation MBA class. She currently lives in San Antonio, TX – the land of margaritas and tacos - with her husband, 7 yr old daughter, and 2 french bulldogs.  Fun fact – she holds 3 passports and loves to travel.

Bryan Huffman is the Chief Financial Officer of the YMCA of the Triangle Area.  He has been with the Y for 25 years, the last 9 as CFO. During his tenure, the YMCA has grown to be among the 10 largest YMCAs in the nation serving more than 200,000 children, families and adults at 18 branches and three overnight camps.  In Bryan’s early years at the YMCA, Bryan worked on the operations side, running programs and branches. Bryan also has several national roles with the nation’s 800+ YMCA Associations.  He is one of the finance experts serving the entire YMCA movement, as well as the Chair of the CFO North American Network of YMCAs. Bryan has a B.S. in Business Management and an MBA, both from North Carolina State University.  While clearly an NC State fan, Bryan also values and supports the arts and Duke University, serving several terms on the Friends Board at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University. He lives in Cary with his wife and two children.

Ivy Fradin is currently Managing Member of The BG Group, LLC, the leading demolition company in South Florida. In this capacity, she is responsible for Management of the Firm, focusing on Client Relations, Accounts Receivable, Sales and Marketing, and Back Office Management. She brings with her significant client contacts, management expertise, tenacity and field knowledge and uses all of these traits to  optimize the success of The BG Group. Prior to co-founding this business in 2003, Ms. Fradin spent 14 years in the Financial  Services industry. She has extensive experience in the Private Banking, Investment Banking, Venture Coverage and Research businesses. She was most recently a Managing Director with Deutsche Bank Private Banking (formerly Bankers Trust Private Banking) based in Palm Beach, where her primary responsibilities included new business development and relationship management in the family office and ultra high-net worth individual client segments. Ms. Fradin graduated magna cum laude with the Honor of Distinction from Duke University with a B.A. degree in Economics.

Ed has been the CEO at Extreme since May of 2015 and previously served as Chairman of the Board. Extreme is a global leader in cloud-managed networking infrastructure with over 50,000 enterprise customers including colleges and universities, NFL and MLB stadiums, the world’s largest hospitals, the NYSE and Fortune 500 companies like Fedex, Walmart and Kroger.  Extreme’s innovative technology with AI and machine learning tools makes it easy for customer’s end users to connect their devices seamlessly to their applications. Prior to Extreme, Ed was CEO of Critical Alert Systems, a software-driven, healthcare information technology company; Cavalier Telephone & TV, a voice, video and data services company; and Talk America, Inc., a wired phone and internet services provider.  Ed was also an investment banker at Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup) in NYC. Ed went to Trinity College in Hartford, CT and then the NYU Stern School of Business.

Jennifer has been a senior member of Google's Global Communications and Public Affairs team since 2007, where she is Director of Executive Comms for Google and Alphabet CFO, Ruth Porat. She also leads the company’s TV and Radio Communications team. She previously worked for ABC NEWS Good Morning America as Senior Story Editor and was at CNN for 16 years in New York, Washington, and Atlanta where she was Senior Producer of NewsNight with Aaron Brown and Executive Producer of Crossfire. She grew up in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Duke University as a Political Science major. In college she developed her passion for journalism and public affairs with internships at ABC News Nightline and WRAL-TV in Raleigh, NC. She now lives in New York City where she and her husband, Gene, raised two children.

An award-winning TV/radio personality, journalist, and producer, Prim Siripipat is a leader in the field of sports broadcasting.  She is currently the host of “The Next Chapter,” a show about how athletes cope with life transitions, including identity loss following retirement.  Prim spent six years at ESPN where she served as a sports anchor, reporter, play-by-play commentator, and tennis analyst. There, she hosted a variety of shows, including ESPN’s flagship program, Sports Center, First Take, and “Spain and Prim,” sports broadcasting’s first ever all-female radio show. Prior to her 17-year broadcasting career, Prim was a top ten nationally ranked junior tennis player and a member of the national champion Duke University Women’s Tennis Team.  A long-time advocate for mental health, Prim has a master’s in counseling psychology and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in counseling psychology at Fordham University with hopes of helping athletes and coaches achieve their potential on and off the court/field.

Abrima Erwiah (based between Accra and New York), with actress and activist Rosario Dawson, is the co-founder of Studio One Eighty Nine, an artisan produced fashion lifestyle brand and social enterprise that has recently won the prestigious CFDA Lexus Fashion Initiative for Sustainability. The brand is made in Africa and produces African and African-inspired content and clothing. The brand also supports various community-led projects in Africa and in the USA. Erwiah teaches an undergraduate BFA course called “Systems & Society” at the Parsons School of Design at the New School. She has worked in luxury goods, fashion, accessories, beauty, and agriculture, and has worked with numerous corporations, NGOS and governments. For instance, Erwiah has worked as an advisor to the United Nations International Trade Center Ethical Fashion Initiative and has worked as the Global Associate Communications and Marketing Director as well as the Worldwide Social Media Director at Bottega Veneta (Kering Group). She is a published author and has guest lectured at various universities and spoken at various conferences including Harvard, NYU, UPenn, RISD, Radford University, Google, CFDA, IMG, Estee Lauder, One Young World and more.

Aishwarya is a serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur who is experienced and passionate about the consumer products and wellness technology space. She currently runs new product innovation & development for a health-tech wearable company, as well as runs a startup consultancy focusing on helping entrepreneurs build and scale successful companies that are aligned with their personal goals. She has also been an angel investor for 37 Angels and NextGen Venture Partners and is a mentor for Techstars and Startup India. She previously built a wellness startup called Bystander, a platform that simplified wellness navigation and information discovery and prior to that she launched Impact Chain Lab, a blockchain innovation lab focused on global development. Aishwarya has also spent time as a global consultant for PwC working with fortune 500 clients on technology and security in the consumer products space. Aishwarya has given a TEDx and spoken around the world on various topics including wellness, self growth, promoting women in technology, blockchain, entrepreneurship and venture capital, and breaking down cultural barriers.

Cynthia Hellen is a globally recognized, Peruvian-American social entrepreneur, writer-producer-director, & design technologist, creating innovative solutions for global problems. She is the Founder and CEO of SMPLCT Lab, an innovation lab based in New York, designing sustainable products, services and experiences for people and the planet. Hellen is a U.S. Department of State “Technology Expert” where she travels worldwide engaging and speaking to local community members on entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability. She is an Entrepreneur-In-Residence (EIR) at Trepcamp, where she leads online and in-person class activities, discussions and lectures with the purpose of developing the next generation of high-impact entrepreneurs. Currently, Hellen serves as the Chapter Leader of New York Women Social Entrepreneurs (NYWSE), a nonprofit providing tools, training, & resources that women need to succeed as business leaders. She also mentors undergraduates and graduate students from Princeton University, Columbia University, Columbia Business School, Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College, Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
