VP of Events: Diversified Industries
Lydia Wang is a senior doing an Interdepartmental major in Visual Media Studies and Psychology, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate. She was born and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She joined BOW her Freshman year in 2018 and was a member of the Spring Business Conference marketing committee. She was also BOW’s Communications Chair from 2019-2020 and BOW's Social Media Chair from 2020-2021. During her freshman summer, she interned at fashion company called Brand Assembly as a Marketing and Beauty intern. Her sophomore summer she worked with Duke’s Law school as a Web designer and participated in Duke’s I+E Summer Innovation Sprint. Throughout her sophomore year, she also interned at My Mask Movement, a technology startup focused on creating custom fitted masks to help curb the COVID-19 outbreak, where she did digital marketing. This past summer, she also interned at Paramount Pictures doing market research. Outside of BOW, she is active in Duke’s dance community as Co-President of Duke Pureun, a kpop dance team. She is also passionate about animals as the Communications chair for the Pre-Vet Society and Marketing coordinator for Duke PAWS, an animal shelter volunteer organization. In her free time, Lydia enjoys drawing, dancing, photography, graphic design, and video editing.
