Welcome to Duke University Business Oriented Women's Spring Business Conference
AN UNFORGETTABLE SPEAKER SERIES FROM POWERFUL WOMEN CHANGING THE TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS INDUSTRY
The Duke Association for Business Oriented Women seeks to empower business oriented female students by promoting education, experience, and exchange between interested students and outstanding industry professionals.
We serve to motivate and prepare young women in the Duke University community for careers in all types of business; be it advertising, consulting, finance, marketing, or public relations.
Duke BOW strives to accomplish this goal through student-led forums, skill-building workshops, and various guest speaker events that exemplify the triumphs of professional women. Such activities enable Duke women to guide their personal and professional development and prepare them for the diverse career opportunities awaiting them in the business world.
The Spring Business Conference (SBC) is BOW’s signature event that invites recognized business leaders around the world to address BOW members, the Duke community composed of both undergraduate and graduate students, and beyond. Each year’s event centers on a different business-related theme.
Past Spring Business Conferences have brought together over 500 attendees from Duke University, the city of Durham, and many high schools and colleges from around North Carolina. This year, SBC continues to expand to include attendees from various universities nation-wide.
